My Approach to Therapy
My therapeutic approach is collaborative, eclectic, and goal-oriented. I help clients explore the connection between their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors, empowering them to create meaningful change. My style is warm, supportive, and structured, balancing compassionate listening with practical interventions.
In therapy, we will work together to identify unhelpful thinking patterns, develop healthier coping skills, and build skills to navigate life’s challenges with confidence. I integrate techniques such as cognitive restructuring, accepting thoughts, mindfulness, and problem-solving to help clients achieve their goals. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, stress, or major life transitions, my focus is to provide a safe and nonjudgmental space where you can cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and long-term well-being.
As a first-generation Pakistani-American, I have witnessed the mental health disparities that affect immigrant and Muslim communities. I understand that mental health is not always seen as a priority and I strive to meet you where you are in your personal journey.
