Learning Evaluations

Our learning evaluations are designed to be comprehensive, collaborative, and tailored to the unique needs and strengths of each student. Also commonly referred to as academic or educational evaluations, learning evaluations at Understanding Minds can assess for:

  • Giftedness

  • Intellectual Disability

  • Learning Disabilities

  • ADHD & Executive Functioning Differences

  • Educational Qualification for Autism

  • Emotional & Behavioral Issues

Every evaluation involves a thorough intake and follow-up process, including:

  • Collaborative clarification of goals for assessment

  • Discussion about the role of diagnosis in educational settings

  • Personalized recommendations on evaluation procedures and format following intake, confirmed by parents or guardians before testing occurs. An estimate will be provided at this time regarding the anticipated length of time needed to complete the evaluation or recommended package elements. ***Please note that this is only an estimate, and the evaluation process may be shorter or longer depending on the needs of the client as our foremost goal is to obtain valid findings.***

  • Coordination by our admin team to ensure thoughtful scheduling, documentation, and communication with families and schools.

  • Comprehensive feedback with diagnoses and recommendations for supports at school and home

  • Post-evaluation follow-up to ensure your needs were met
