My Approach to Therapy
As a narrative therapist, I'm both creative and collaborative, if occasionally challenging -- eager not only to hear your story, but to ask you all manner of questions about it, and to kindle in you as its author a spark of creative, workable, growable energy. Narrative therapy is an evidence-based framework that sees you and I collaborating to find new, truer-feeling stories of growth tangled up within old, soul-depleting stories of stuck-ness. There is no writing required, and my approach to narrative work incorporates elements of mindfulness, parts, and strengths-based therapy. The result is often not resolving a happy ending -- but rather constructing together a new, manageable beginning.
I practice under the supervision of Dr. Tiffany Lin. All manner of identities are welcome in my office.
