My Areas of Interest:
My clients have included adolescents and young adults who have substance use issues, mood disorders (specifically depression), behavioral disorders (such as ADHD and Oppositional Defiant Disorder), self-injurious behaviors and relationship and family issues. I’ve worked with helping professionals on self-care and work/Iife balance. My work with adults has focused on helping to address parenting concerns and coping with family members who have substance use problems. I also have an interest in issues relating specifically to women such as self-esteem, healthy relationships and empowerment. I enjoy working with clients from a variety of different walks of life. I have worked in traditional and alternative school settings helping students with social skills, academic and peer pressure, bullying and crisis intervention. I’ve worked in a community mental health agency as a therapist, clinical and administrative supervisor and director of an outpatient substance use program for adolescents.
