My Approach To Therapy
_____
I approach therapy with a genuine, authentic, non-judgmental attitude, striving to create a safe space for clients. I specifically practice Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), working collaboratively with clients to utilize their unique strengths to work through current challenges. SFBT is ideal for:
-
Working through a specific life challenge (i.e. starting college/a new job, getting married, social anxiety, divorce, etc.)
-
Relationship challenges
-
Stress management
-
Addiction recovery maintenance
-
Self-esteem concerns
-
Clients who are motivated to make changes and appreciate structure, but don't necessarily want to commit to long-term therapy
-
Crisis management
-
Trauma
My goal is to utilize the therapeutic relationship to help clients feel supported and understood, while simultaneously empowering clients to realize their own strength and capacity for change.
