My Approach To Therapy
_____
I approach therapy with a genuine, authentic, non-judgmental attitude, striving to create a safe space for clients. I practice under a humanistic approach, meaning that I believe it is essential to view each person as a unique individual with a unique story. I aim to work collaboratively with clients to discuss presenting concerns and gain greater self-awareness, drawing on each individual’s strengths to create change. Because no two people are alike, I strive to tailor interventions to each client’s needs, though I often draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). My goal is utilize the therapeutic relationship to help clients feel supported and understood. I am currently under supervision for licensure as a clinical social worker.
